Hey, does anyone have a picture of how much you have to cut off of the stock air box when you use the 400ex shock??If you dont have a picture can you at least tell me how much you take off..??  Thanks! |

i would say half an inch to an inch but not sure just ry to stick it on if no worky cut still no worky cut mopre;) hope this helps ya

well i read up at bhq and the guy who did it said this "you have to shave off some from the front of the airbox, even if your not running a lid. you might be able to take your back plastics off, mount the shock, then put the plastics on. you'd be putting some pressure on the airbox, but it would probably work." and here is a pic of a ex shock and the airbox lid (you have to cut off the snorkel)   |

I did not take off very much at all, just used a small file and did not even make a hole into airbox. Will get pics and post.

how much is a stock 400ex shock wouldnt it be better to get a cheap rear shock like the umm... quadstar works shock? for like 400 bucks...
