hey does n e 1 know if you can race a blaster at a younger age, say 14 or 15 because it is a "underpowered" quad? i would like to start racing in a AMA or MRA race at Milan Cycle City, but don't want to wait till next year. some 1 was telling me that you can race a blaster, 300ex or mojave even if your not 16 but i wasn't sure. could you guys shed some light on this subject?

you should be able to race in the youth class at your local tracks in ama sanctioned races

yes new AMA rules state that 14+ year olds can race up to a 200cc 2-stroke, or up to a 300cc 4-stroke

if ur 14 u can race 250ex, z250. blaster, mojave, 300ex kasea 250 or the new 200cc gas gas it awesome comes standard with ohlins shocks and fuel injection, my friend is going to try and get 1, it quicker than a standard blaster and can hang with the 250r

i got the blaster when i was 10 i was riding today and my freind was over and he was amazed that im as small i am i can hold on to my blaster but i fit it good im a bit small for it though but i meet the guide lines by the ama for racing

AMA youth production class 13-15 yrs old. Or CRA they don't have an age limit in the blaster class. My son was 11 yrs old and raced in the blaster class 2004. Scared the hell out of me. Thats why I have the blaster apart and installing a cr80 motor into it.
