ok, today I was talking to one of our "inside guys" and I received secret information about a new quad coming out for 2004. Now I'm really not supposed to say and actually I could get into a lot of trouble for just mentioning this... but there will be a new high performance quad coming out in 2004 that is going to steal the show. I know all about it and believe me, it sounds amazing! BUT I CAN"T SAY!!! that's what sucks so bad. Here's a hint... the manufacturer's name is the type of bike that Jeremy McGrath was riding when he lost his championship to Jeff Emig in 1996. Got it? Not really a surprise huh? BUT DON"T TELL EVERYBODY I TOLD YOU!!

like I've said before, I can't tell you exactly what it is or looks like, but it is not a 250r frame, it's a brand new quad, brand new frame.

I hope its one of their bike motors and not just another one of there beefy quad motors. It would be nice to see a CBR 654 motor in an aluminum chassis, but I think the CRF motor would be allot better, weight and size. Dam this sounds like a sweet arse quad.

Yeah, that would be a mad machine. They'd have to modify it some to work with 2 extra wheels. A bike motor is a high revving motor, most quad motors only reach around 8500 before they tap out, with the aception of the cannondales wich tap out at 12,500 . The bike motor would need to be modified for more bottom end to get the more surface area to turn, also preventing the motor from being overhauled and fried. One of the best way to get good bottom end would be to increas its stroke, by doing this you get amazing bottom end and would be great for getting that quad moving, yes it would hurt the top end RPMs but they're not realy needed for a quad. Just my .02 cents .

Yeah that would be nice with a few modifications to the motor. I think that new italian 740cc (I think, maybe 750?) 2stroke will be WICKED FAST, your talking around 60hp STOCK. I think it was dirtwheels who did a test on it, got a great review and ONLY 7K STOCK new, you can get allot of goodies added to it strait from the factory though.
