I ride trails mostly, but I'm looking to get into motocross. I own a 2002 blaster with a FMF pipe, boyesen rad valve, K&N filter, air box mods, rear hydraulic brake, and maxxis razr 18in rear tires. I was wondering what some good mods would be.

if ur getting into motocross 1. SUSPESION!!!!! 2.A-arms and axle 3.motor work like boar it 20 over and shave the head new piston ect. 4.anything u think u need to improve ur quad on

I can send my swing arm into Blaster Zone and get it extended 3in for $150. Is it worth it?

...Suspension is what you need. The better the suspension the faster you are. It dont matter waht engine work you have. with out the susp you dont win. For 150$ i would get my head shaved. that would be like 20-50$. and you will get hight compression...but thats only if your want to only run 91+ octane. For 150$ you could also get banshee front shocks and 400ex rear.
Also boreing it over will not add HP and once you get into the sized over .040 you risk overheating and cracking the sleave. Do not listen to blaster99 about boring it .020 over. That isnt even a 1 hp increase. and just a waste of bore sizes. A 240 only gets you a few hp. Engine work that increases hp and tourque is porting, strokers, bigbores, longrods, ect. You really thing makeing your pistions Twenty Thousandths of an inch bigger gives you hp. why dont you take out .080 have your bike over heat and sleeve crack just so you can say its 207cc's. 1 mm is 0.0394in. so a 240 which is 73mm bore gives you what like 5 hp increase. so a 68mm bore is 20hp...and a 240 is 25. so this means a 240 is .197in larger then a 195 and 5hp. What the fuck you think .020 is gonna do. like .0002 hp..dont make people waste their money bud. also its bore not boar.
Edit stock bore is 66 not 68.

suspension makes toy faster by making your blaster sit lower and that helps it because you can go into turns a lot faster and it makes the landings a lot softer. if your going to get into suspension get some elkas or peps. its better to get good shocks now then to get crapy ones and by good ones in the future.

You wouldnt believe how much faster suspension make it..You can corner faster, hit bumps harder, hit jumps faster, you can do everything faster.

Edit stock bore is 66 not 68. ok ya right it dont mater on the hp its the torque and power i never said to boar it out over 20 over i no that will hapent cuse i would have told him to boar it out more so read the message right and it makes a big difference ask anyone that has it it helps but notice its one of the last things on the list ok and rep in west springfeild mass is a great motor builder i had my motor built by them and i beat a kid with 50 hp on the holeshot so stop talking about crap u dont no about!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D

Suspension is the #1 key thing in motocross, Atv or Dirtbikes, anything... Suspension allows you to be on the gas more when your going around the track, do you honestly think(having stock shokcs) you will be flying around truns, through ruts, w/o being knocked around and bumpbed around like crazey, with suspension you soak most of that up, you can go quicker, if you go out and get yur motor done, u will go fast in a straight line, get nocked around like crazey cause yur stock shocks dont absorb any of the bumps and its just hell. if your gonna do anyhting, Get suspension first, and that includes shocks a arms axle, if you dont have the money just go for shocks first. About a half hour ago i just put elka shocks on my firneds blaster, he was flipping out casue he could go so fast thourgh the ruts and stuff he was goin some fast compared to how he used to ride, and landing off jumps wasnt a pain, so there ya go.

alright you fuck..just to let you know. .020 does not do shit. The only power you feel is the power from a brand knew top end. it does not ass even 1hp. i know what im fucking saying. When you bore to the second to last over size its .080 over. and that is 207cc's. it does not add any hp. I also would like to see a dyno on a 50hp blaster..cause i know my ass has never seen one. Dont even fuckin tell me im wrong again. and learn to write. your post is one big sentence thats impossible to read. and quit saying Boar...

blaster99..he dont know what the hell hes saying. also...There is no such thing is boreing your bike out. Thats just something dumbasses have made up cause they heard the word bore. You have to cut out the sleeve them put a larger sleeve in. you dont "bore it out" you dont even know how to spell bore so you dont even know what a bore is. Learn what shit is before you start talkin shit. alsol..there is hp and torque...it dont add 1 hp or 1ft lbs of torque. you are full of shit. you may have taken this "50hp blaster" and it was not because you bored it .020 over. it is because you just got goin faster. so since mine is .080 over you think my blaster have like 300ft lbs of torque? hell my bikes a fuckin rocket ship then...
