its good to have the rezzies.. What they do is keep the shocks working good under heat, like keeps they cool, when you racing and riding for awhile, it'll keep them working good.. Theres a certain work for it but I can't think of it..lol. I think that you are trying to say they fade. The resivoir holds oil which keeps the shock from fading during hard riding. You don't really need them if you don't ride that hard, and only ride for a short time, but I reccomend them. The elkas w/o res. will still be better than works w/ res. The elkas will fade a little bit, but they will still work better, and it will not be that much of a noticeable difference.

Dude if your just an average rider, not racing but just lookin to improve the handling/suspension of your quad, then go for the works, they may not be the best but there a good price and there better than stock, i mean if you have the money then get elka, but if you have the money for a works front and rear, then its better to have front and rear aftermarket shocks. It will take you alot longer to save up for elka front and rears.

yeah, i probably will be racing in a year or two. my stock shocks bottomed out on a small jump I have at my track. it has no landing, and its not a double or a table top, but i only get max 5 feet of air and the shocks botom. does any one know about tcs shocks? i heard that they are supposed to be good.

heres the deal on WORKS shocks. first of all, in shocks, you get what you pay forand works are at the bottom of the price list. of works, elka, axis and PEP, works uses the cheapest parts and has the highest tolerances for the most general performace. works uses a ball and chack type internal system wich also dosent work as well as the high end shocks shim stacks. works valving tolerances are also set up for every 30-45 lbs increment where the big three are set up for every 10 or 15 lbs., so your getting a much more pecise built shock.
as for bottoming, not to pick on anybody, but this is the dumbest coment ever "my works sucks because they bottom out, my elkas are way better because they never bottom" geuss what, if your on any type of track and dont bottome your shocks once a lap, you dont have them set up right. ask any pro mx'er or gncc'er. they will all tell you they bottom there shocks.

Yes..When you setup your shocks. You are supposed to set them to the point where they bottom on the biggest jump you hit.

Yeah I agree save up a few more months and go with the elkas you will be a lot happier. Besides if you buy the works most likely you will probably end up buying elkas too.

If you have works and are unhappy w/ em..hit derisi racing up. get a millenium valve put in.. They'll be right up there w/ elkas.

a 400ex rear is better then most shocks for a blaster. Only one that may be better is a top of the line shock...hell it even has rebound adj.
