They only have a point if you have a PJ34 carb.

they do work, yamaha put them on many machines stock including the wr 200 and dt 200 and neither of them had a 34 pj THEY DO WORK people who say they dont are idiots period! they will help with any carb in certain conditions yamaha has a world class team of engineers that test and design engines, intake setups etc do you realy think they would go through the trouble and headache and additional manufacturing costs if they werent effective? no they wouldnt, they did because they are effective!

yamaha puts them on bikes that need them...they only work on bikes that have low throttle responce...They didnt put on on a blaster for a reason..

Its a waste to carbs that dont need it. You should only get one if you get a new carb and dont have much throttle responce.

yamaha puts them on bikes that need them...they only work on bikes that have low throttle responce...They didnt put on on a blaster for a reason.. no they didnt put it on a blaster because it is an entry level machine, and maximum performance wasnt their goal! blasters have a hard dip in power right around 5000 rpms and a boost bottle will help remove alot of it if tuned properly but since the blaster engine is basicly a severly detuned version of the dt 200 they didnt care if it had a power dip, because it was/is severely under carbed and has severely restricted reeds from the factory..... in other words it has great response due to being under carbed from the factory with even a stock 26 mm carb and stock reeds, a boost bottle will help if it is set up and sized properly, it wont add any power per say, but it does help overall performance

dude, u said ppl who thought they didnt work were idiots, and kurt is the one one who told me they dont work, and he knows his shit. i didnt call kurt an idiot lol and perhaps my wording was harsh lol........... was simply making a point, they do work and they will do what yamaha originally designed them to do, carb size has nothing to do with it either, but they have to be sized very precicely to be effective.. so maybe i misunderstood you? are you saying yamaha and all their millions of dollars in annual research and development was/is useless? maybe they just spent extra cash to manufacturer boost bottles for many different engines over the years to make the bike heavier? or maybe it was a cosmetic thing? NO! YAMAHA DESIGNED AND USED BOOST BOTTLES (Y.E.I.S or yamaha energy induction system) ON MANY DIFFERENT ENGINES IN MANY DIFFERENT APPLICATIONS FOR ONE REASON............. BECAUSE THEY ARE EFFECTIVE. i dont mean to get all intense guys....... but no one here or probably in the entire aftermarket industry has more know how or research and testing than the original manufacturer theirself lol dont go thinking yamaha was/is stupid they knew what they were doing when they designed and implicated boost bottles thats all i meant

dude, u said ppl who thought they didnt work were idiots, and kurt is the one one who told me they dont work, and he knows his shit. correction. the last 2 races of the season we installed a new big bore cylinder and head that we had purchased from an engine builder(at a special price) that wanted us to see how his work stacked up against the competition. while in the process of jetting the carb to the cylinder i installed a boost bottle, something that never really impressed us before on the 200 cc motor. the makers of this bottle contacted us needing another opinion on their product. they said that we were highly recomended by others that felt that we were the go to guys in the blaster business, so they gave us one to try. i put it on and took it off several times and i must admit, that with this engine & carb combination it did improve throttle response. so in closing, i feel that in certain situations a boost bottle can improve the performance of your machine.

with boost bottles, it's more like you have to get lucky. Depending on your set up, you will either feel a small difference, or nothing at all. We have some for sale if anybody really wants to try one, I think they're around $34.
