hey does anyone know if there is a 285cc kit or something bigger than 240 on the market and for how much?

I think he meant that it might blow up. If your boring it out to 285cc....the cylinder will be real thin and the chances of blowing it up is higher.
But 240cc kit is alot better option.

a 285 kit is a stroker motor.that meen you will have to buy a big bore kit for the top end...then you'll have to buy a stroker crank for the bottom end and have the cases machined out for it to fit....but i wouldnt recomend it they are not relaiable motor my one buddy has one and it dont hold to gether but 5 races at the max...

thanx but if i get the following will the engine be reliable
1. 240cc kit
2. 3mm strocker cranks
3. trail pandp
4. 30 mm carb

it will be less reliable on any kind of work u do.. b.c piston ismoving faster, and it gets worn faster

trinity makes the 260kit too im pretty sure
and i think the 285 kit is more for drag racing than MX
